About Us

We are Julia and Jennifer and we are Bella Mamma!

We are from Ireland and Italy, but are raising their beautiful boys with their partners in the heart of the West Midlands, UK.

By recognising and valuing the support they offered each other during one of the biggest transitions of their lives, we are passionate about supporting first time mums through the many challenges, changes and euphoric moments that motherhood brings.

We write for wild-hearted women who are juggling the demands of motherhood and careers, helping them to feel connected, supported and loved.

We hope this blog will be a tonic for the tired, caffeine fuelled mums (with kids who don’t sleep), and those needing to feel that they belong to a tribe of women who share their beliefs that women can be nurturing feminine goddesses and kick ass in the boardroom!
  • We believe that women can have it all!
(but we must define what having it all means to each of us personally, and no one else)
  • We believe motherhood is journey with no map, but by using our internal GPS and intuition, we can make the best choices for our children and ourselves
  • We believe that juggling motherhood and careers is hard, and there is no right solution to navigating both, but we believe with the right support every woman can have the life and career that she craves for herself and her family
  • We believe that by cheer leading and rooting for women in all areas of life we graciously give each other permission to be magnificent. And we believe all women are magnificent; no qualms about it
  • We believe in a tribe of women who do not judge, condemn or guilt-trip. We are all here to learn and to be become the best version of ourselves; as wives, mothers, partners, daughters, sisters, friends and career women
  • We believe that children who sleep more than 9hours are at night are a myth!!!

Up close + Personal
Meet Julia:

  • I love meeting new people and making new friends, I am incredibly fascinated by different traditions and cultures and I believe we can always learn something from others
  • I love empathy and being able to connect with people and give support and feel supported,I believe that love and tolerance are what makes this world worth living in
  • My favourite famous people are Margaret Mazzantini, an italian/irish writer whom I love because she writes about incredibly ordinary stories in such a special way that touches souls very deeply, and Ellen DeGeneres, a comedian and philanthropist whose motto is “be kind to one another”
  • I love travelling but I need somebody to go with me because I just can’t wait to share my emotions; and also my sense of orientation is minus zero and I would just spend the time trying to find out where I am!
  • I love museums and cities full of art like Rome and Barcelona where you can get lost in thinking how inspiring people have worked and made such a long lasting difference in history and culture
  • My family is my oxygen and my dream is that one day we will all live in the same city so that we could see each other as much as we like and share even more life events together

Meet Jennifer:

  • I’m a Sagittarius, my arrow is always pointing upwards and a try to see the silver lining in every situation
  • I grew up in Dublin and while I love our home in the UK, my soul craves Ireland from time to time
  • I am a qualified teacher (French and History) but I left the profession to pursue my creative side
  • My brain is always in creative overdrive! I get inspiration from everything and I'm always thinking of ways to make things bigger and better!
  • When I’m not too exhausted I love adventure – travelling calls to my soul and I’m always thinking of trips to plan and holidays to book!
  • I’m a BIG believer in the Law of Attraction and gratitude
  • I love to get lost in the pages of a good book. Irish authors such as Maeve Binchy, Sheila O’Flanagan and Cecilia Ahern are my writing queens
  • I adore social media – connectivity, collaboration, engagement – Love it!
  • For years, I craved to see Iceland . . . and ended up getting engaged there (I knew it was going to be special!)
  • My career goal is to grow a business which supports female and mum entrepreneurs with marketing and social media
